What is it? Peppermint has purplish stems and pink to pale violet flowers from June to October, and it is found on brooksides, in wet meadows, and roadside ditches. It acts as a stimulant, nervine and expectorant. Peppermint has numerous medicinal uses that include: nerve stimulant, colic, headaches, shock, helps relieve heartburn and nausea, fevers, gallstones, chills, colds, oxygenates blood, acts on stomach as a sedative, increases saliva production. Peppermint is rich in Vitamins A and C, and niacin, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, silicon, iodine, sulphur, and inositol. |
