Vitamin C has long been credited with its skincare benefits, but what about for hair? As a powerful antioxidant that is full of vital nutrients, Vitamin C works to provide stimulating and thickening effects on strands. Combined with our Intelli-Seed antioxidant complex consisting of cold-pressed certified organic black cumin, cranberry, red grape, red raspberry and pumpkin, this oil both replenishes and protects hair from free radical and environmental damage. With the inclusion of Tetrahyexyldecycl ascorbate, the ester bond reacts with the amino acid of damaged hair and makes the hair more hydrophobic (repels water) – therefore more smooth and manageable. It may sound counter-intuitive, but too much water is not good for hair. As water enters the center of the strand the cortex swells and the structure is weakened. This Vitamin C also has a neutral Ph that is gentler on skin and a less irritating alternative to other Vitamin C options supporting use on facial hair (making it a great beard oil alternative).
