Our shelf life is 24-36 months depending upon product from date of manufacture. We use PAO (period after opening) symbol to identify the useful lifetime of a product after it has been opened for the first time. It depicts an open jar with the lifespan of the product contents in months, indicated by a number followed by “M.”

These products went through and passed required safety clinical and lab testing for irritation. However, we did not conduct specific testing on children or babies. Everyone’s biology is different and regardless of age we recommend applying to a small area of the skin and if there are no signs of sensitivity it is up to the individual to proceed to use or not. In addition, our bug repellent is free from toxic harsh chemicals like DEET. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends not using any insect repellent on a baby who’s not yet 2 months old (skin permeability becomes similar to adults by the 2nd month). If you choose to do so, apply to a small area and evaluate for any skin sensitivities. In addition, we recommend the following: Apply sparingly to exposed skin only or clothes-not under clothing. Dress in light colored clothing. Avoid bright, dark or flowery prints. Cover as much as possible to reduce exposure.

Due to hormones and the many other changes experienced during pregnancy, we recommend your consult your doctor before incorporating any new product into your regimen. It is always recommended to conduct a patch test with any new product you introduce into any regimen as well.

In general, our products have a two-three year shelf life from the date of manufacture; however shelf life varies by product and can be lengthened or expanded as long as it meets the required tests and performance results.

There are so many different elements that affect sensitive conditions. Consequently, we always recommended to conduct a patch test with any new product that is introduced into any regimen on any skin condition, sensitive or otherwise.

Our products were not formulated for the unique attributes and acute senses of animals. Consult your veterinarian before use.
